In 2025, Team Courage jumped many time zones and ate more airplane biscotti cookies than we care to admit.

We had the privilege of bringing courage into places of conflict, fear, anxiety, and uncertainty—and we got to watch transformation happen before our eyes.  

2025 brought us to:

Courage at the heart

What an honor it’s been to build a global company and community centered on courage. 

For the last decade, “Courage for every person in every moment” has never been a proforma mission statement. It’s been a vision and lived commitment for our entire Be Courageous team.  

We have not only had our courageous frameworks backed by academic science, but we know first-hand that courage: 

  • Builds confidence in an uncertain world. 
  • Unlocks creativity, vulnerability, and fosters deeper human connection. 
  • Turns dreams into reality. 
  • Expands perspectives, opportunities, and innovation. 
  • Activates leaders as role models for positive influence throughout organizations. 
  • Breaks old patterns and mental models to help people create a better future. 

Our deepest gratitude

Be Courageous began as a thought bubble and Post-It scribble in 2013. 

As co-founders and creators of this organization and movement, we’ve served hundreds of thousands of leaders, both in-person and digitally, across 100 countries. We’ve helped teams navigate a global pandemic, turbulent economies, and daily market disruption.  

We’ve always lived by the relentless ambition to bring courage to every person, in every moment. We’ve gotten to play a role in conversations with leaders making the biggest breakthroughs in the world, helping usher in ideas, products, and services that have changed the way we live and work. 

It’s beyond fulfilling to receive daily messages from these folks sharing how they’ve drastically improved their lives, careers, teams, companies, and relationships by implementing what we’ve shared. 

For the last decade, we’ve been so grateful to have been a guide, catalyst, and inspiration to some of the world’s biggest leaders and companies, and to have seen our clients generate billions in ROI while creating enduring value for their customers. 

We tested it thousands of times and know without a doubt: Where there is fear, there’s always courage. And with courage, you can always overcome.  

New year, new chapter for Be Courageous

As we look ahead to 2026, the next chapter for Be Courageous is a natural next step towards scaling positive impact. 

We’re thrilled to announce that after three years of working closely as strategic partners, Be Courageous will formally join forces with Oxford Leadership—one of the most respected and relied on leadership development consultancies in the world. 

Our newly formed entity will retain the Oxford Leadership name—a name synonymous with deeply human-centered, purpose-led leadership development for good.

By combining 20 years of Oxford Leadership’s legendary leadership development (with over 1M alumni) with Be Courageous’ decade of creative, high‑impact innovation and transformation frameworks, we can expand our capabilities to:

In the newly combined Oxford Leadership team, Kyle Hermans will step in as CEO, Jenna Hermans as CFO, and Brian Bacon, founder of Oxford Leadership, will be Group Chairman and CEO Mentor.

From 2005 to 2025, Oxford Leadership has guided more than one million leaders across 90 countries and facilitated over 500 business transformations. Under Brian Bacon’s leadership, they’ve demonstrated that performance and deep transformation are not mutually exclusive when anchored in purpose and principles. They’ve been operating under a purpose of “Transforming Leaders for Good.”

What will happen to Be Courageous?

Be Courageous will evolve into its roots, becoming an integral research hub for Oxford Leadership.  
 
With our university and academic partners, we’ll continue to research, study, and experiment with what drives courage, transformation, and performance.  For example, this academic study was recently published in the international academic journal, Social Sciences.  

We’ll continue writing and publishing books. Like the award-winning book, Chaos to Calm, the (all five-stars!) book, Burnout to Balance, and Kyle Hermans’ forthcoming book, Seeds of Courage.  
 
We’ll infuse our learnings into Oxford Leadership programming, coaching, mentoring, and advising, and vice versa.
