Do you take action on your intuition, or do you doubt yourself?
When you think about your day-to-day life, how many ideas, thoughts, feelings and emotions come up that direct you toward something that might not be your “normal?”
How many inner thoughts do you have that are outside your comfort zone?
How often do you have this internal voice saying what you want or need, but your “practical,” voice squashes it?
Trusting your inner voice
It’s okay, it happens to me too sometimes! I’ve had to work on amplifying my inner voice and quieting the status quo voice that tries to thwart it.
Over the years, I’ve learned the more I hear my deepest desires and act on them, the better my life becomes. The more aligned my life becomes with my dreams, with my vision, The better my relationships are, the more depth my work has.
Build a relationship with your intuition and trust your instincts.
Before the surface voice kicks in, pause for a minute and let your inner voice finish its thoughts, so you can further develop them and put them into action.
If your inner voice is telling you to reach out to someone – DO. IT. Call them, text them, send them a voice note.
If you feel a deep urge for rest or self-care, please give yourself permission to put yourself first. Add time for you in your calendar and treat it as importantly as any other work meeting or event.
If you’re feeling an itch to start a creative project, guess what? It’s time to. It doesn’t have to be a huge project, just give your soul what it’s asking for. Your Intuition is your gift.
How to overcome doubt
One of the best ways to overcome doubt is to take action.
Sometimes when our inner voice speaks to us it can create an uneasy feeling, because what it’s saying may not be your regular routine. It may be something you’ve never done before or haven’t done in years. Maybe it’s something you don’t think you’re worthy of (you are) or you’re too busy for it right now (we can always make time for what matters most).
Often when our intuition speaks it shows us glimpses of an unimaginable future in today’s terms and what your soul is telling you may not seem practical or the right time, right now. And this unease causes you to feel uncomfortable, which isn’t pleasant. So your fear based mind kicks in to try to rationalize why you shouldn’t take action.
But guess what? Every moment is a right now. So if not now, when?
Solution: Once you start feeling the unease, immediately start taking action on your thought. It doesn’t have to be a huge action, but make a move toward what your voice is telling you.
One move. Then another.
As you take action, you’ll start to see whether or not it’s the right direction to go.
You have all the power you need inside of you. You have all the ideas and thoughts, creativity and courage you need to live the most vibrant life.
Stop procrastinating, start listening
The distance between trusting your intuition and procrastinating on taking action is where we miss out on most of life.
So take action, trust your intuition, and be courageous. Act on it. The more you feed your soul what it’s asking for – like when you feed your body what it needs – it will work much better for you in the long run.
